Edwin J. Lopez, 88, passed away on October 16, 2018. He was born September 18, 1930 to the union of Jose Amadeo Sr. and Vicentan B. (Leyba) Lopez who both precede him in death, along with; mother of his children Ernestine Lopez; son, Terry Lopez; brothers, Henry D. and Joe E. Lopez. Edwin was a Korean War Veteran, serving 4 years in the Marines. He retired with over 30 years of service from Pueblo Army Depot. Edwin loved to go to Cripple Creek and was an avid sports fan. His team was the Colorado Rockies. Edwin always followed doctors’ orders, loved to walk and strived to stay healthy. He loved buying gifts and spending time with his family. He always thanked God for his many blessings. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; children, Ron (Char) Lopez, Rick (Loretta) Lopez and Lori (Joe) Griego; siblings, Alice Garduno, Judy Duran, Amadeo Lopez Jr., Albina C. Garcia and Theresa Lovins; grandchildren, Deidra Lopez, Renee (Josh) Cavazos, Derick (Samantha) Griego; one expected great-grandchild; special friend, Theresa Segura; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 11 a.m Tuesday October 30, 2018 Angelus Chapel. Interment, 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at Pikes Peak National Cemetery. Military Honors by Pueblo Ritual Team.
