Obituary

Elaine W. Gibeaut, 86, passed away May 15, 2022. She was born Nov. 3, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Allen and Ices (Turpin) Nelson who precede her in death along with parents, Whitey and Ethel Walters; beloved husband, Maurice Gibeaut; siblings, Phyllis Brower, Allen Nelson, Dianne Dexter; step-son, Alance Telfair.

Elaine was the district agent for Prudential Insurance from 1974 to her retirement. She enjoyed music, the golf course, playing cards, watching and cheering for her favorite sports teams with her children. Elaine had a voice of an angel. She was a music major and featured on an album with her college choir. She later served as the church soloist for nearly 15 years. Elaine was always sharing her gift with others, soothing souls, and filling our hearts with love.  

Elaine leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Robert Halstead, Sharon Thiessen, Mary (David) Belkin; grandchildren; Luke McCann, Jake McCann, Michael Beran, Bobbi Linn Emerson, Ashley Day, Max Belkin, Elise Belkin; 6 great-grandchildren; father of her children, Ray Halstead; other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
