Emelie Martinez Obituary

Emelie Maria Martinez, 91, passed away November 18, 2021, affectionately known as “Melia” to family and friends. She was born February 22, 1930. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Albessa Guerin; brothers Benito (Josie) Guerin and Joe Guerin; sister Mary (Phillip) Figueroa; and niece Dolores Baca. Melia was a beautiful lady inside and out. You would never catch her without her lipstick as she was always ready for a picture. She was a lady with many traits throughout her different careers. She enjoyed dancing and singing, she knew how to have a good time. She was a giver! But most important, she loved her family and great friends, spending quality time with each of them. Melia is survived by sister Mary Myers; special nieces Emelie (Tony) Martinez, Brittney (Darrion) Hatchett, Helen Guerin, and Damaris Guerin; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
