Emilio Durango Garcia, 16, passed away May 1, 2025. He was born November 1, 2008 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to parents, Sharon Garcia and Cornelio Rivera. He was preceded in death by sister, Bernadette Barrientos; brother, Lawrence Barrientos; and his grandparents, Veron and Cirilia Fisher.
Emilio was a sophomore at Central High School. He loved BMX Bikes and cars. He enjoyed working on anything with a motor and listening to music. Emilio shared his love and gratitude with many and his friendship was instantaneous. He had open arms and a golden heart. Sharing his home with anyone who need a roof over their head, cats, dogs, humans. Everyone was welcome.
Emilio is survived by his parents, Sharon Garcia and Cornelio Rivera; siblings, Louis Rodriguez (Kayla), Cirilia Garcia (Jarod), Augustino Garcia (Antoinette) Mariano Romero Garcia and Iliana Garcia; nephews, Bash, Bam and Cam; nieces, Bella, Ellee, and Sofia; step-siblings, Jesus, Alize, Kyle, Adileni, Sally, Cornelio Jr., and Armando; and his beloved son (Dog) Chulo.
Funeral Mass, 2 pm, Fri., May 9, 2025 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Private Inurnment at a later date.
