Erlinda Tafoya, 80, passed away April 2, 2018. She was born January 23, 1938 to Abe and Senovena (Martinez) Herrera who precede her in death along with her beloved husband Estevan Tafoya, Brother; Richard Herrera, Sisters Lydia (Epifanio) Archuleta and Frances (Leo) Montano. Erlinda was a dedicated member of the Salt Creek Mothers and was well known for her tamales, she enjoyed being around her family and adored her grandchildren. Survived by her children Steve (Ann Vasquez) Tafoya, Mario (Andrea) Tafoya, Bernie Tafoya, Marilyn Tafoya, Carolyn Tafoya, Benji (Laurisa) Tafoya, Michael (Chelsea) Tafoya, 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Louise Rubio, Lupe Herrera, several in-laws, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Funeral Mass Friday 2 p.m. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Avondale CO., Father Charlie Sena, officiating. Interment Imperial Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at Zaragoza Hall following burial rites.
