Ernest Salazar, 53, passed away Aug. 4, 2020. A lifetime Puebloan he was born Feb. 17, 1967 to Gilbert and Margaret (Madrid) Salazar. He is preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Salazar; nephew, Eric Salazar; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Ernest enjoyed playing horseshoes, darts and pool. He was a mechanic who loves working on cars and teaching family how to work on them, as well. He also was a good, hunter. Every year he went hunting and enjoyed teaching his nephews and cousins how to hunt. He was a Bronco and Charger fan. He enjoyed spending time with family to watch the games and cheering on his teams. He loved to tell his stories of his past. He touched everyone he came in contact with. Ernest leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife, Jacqueline Salazar, daughters, Vanessa Espinoza (Clark), Desirae (Dustin) Duggan, Olivea Salazar; stepson, Phillip Dimino; parents, Gilbert and Margaret Salazar; siblings, Gilbert Salazar, Carol Salazar (Alonzo) Archuleta, Melanie (Donald) Pacheco, Cynthia Reyes; grandchildren, Julian, Makayla, DeMarcus, Darius, Zavian, Alieanna, Dylan; Godson, Alonzo Archuleta; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
