Ernest Manuel Finn, affectionately known as "Ernie," "Uncle Ern," and "The Mayor of Bessemer," peacefully passed away on September 25, 2024, in Pueblo, Colorado. Born on August 17, 1951, Ernie was a lifelong resident of Pueblo, the city he loved.
Preceded in death by his parents, Emelio and Dorothy Finn, and siblings Richard, John, Rose, and Betty. He is survived by his son, Ernie Finn, Jr., brother Benjamin Finn, Sr., brothers-in-law Benjamin Romero, Rudy Martinez and Dave Lucero; sisters, Shirley Marron, Diane Finn, and Donna Martinez, an abundance of extended family, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Ernie retired from a successful career at the CF&I Steel Mill, where he worked in thread operations. Post-retirement, he pursued his passion for civil engineering and welding, earning a degree and academic honors from Pueblo Community College. He was a dedicated member of St. Francis Xavier Parish. Ernie was known for his involvement in the Bessemer community and his unwavering support for the Denver Broncos.

A Rosary service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd at 6:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 3rd at 10 am, both at St. Francis Xavier Parish. Burial will take place at Roselawn Cemetery, with a reception to follow at The Zaragoza Hall.
