Esperanza "Hope" Martinez Castro

Esperanza “Hope” Martinez Castro, 71, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother passed away April 7, 2025. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was born in Oklahoma on June 12, 1953 to parents, Rufugio and Adelita (Martinez) Ibarra. They both precede her in death along with her husband, Ruben R. Castro Sr.; her daughters, Renee Castro and Audra Castro; and her grandson, Elias Castro.

Hope was a loving and caring person who always put others before herself. She loved cooking for her family and went above and beyond to show them extra love and attention. Her grandchildren were especially dear to her heart. She enjoyed singing corrido and listening to her husband sing in church.

Hope was a very spiritual lady who loved the Lord. Hope had a smile that could light up any room. Her kindness, generosity and warm heart will be remembered by all who knew her.

Hope is survived by her son, Ruben Castro (Marcie Escobedo-Castro); her grandsons, Ruben I Castro II, Andres Magallanes and Reynaldo Castro; her granddaughters, Aracely Castro, Esperanza Luellen, Elizabeth Castro, Tabitha Castro, and Candy Castro and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral Service, 2 pm, Wed., April 16, 2025 at  Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
