Florence L Trujillo

Florence L. Trujillo, 96, passed away peacefully on Sept. 25, 2022.  She was born May 11, 1926 in Aguilar, Colo. to the union of Jose and Rita (Gallegos) Avila, both precede her in death along with her husbands Nash Martinez, Juan Trujillo and Justin Gomez; her children Frances Mares, Dolores Castillo and Edward Martinez; son-in law Ben Montez; grandchildren Gidget Pence and Tito Almeda Jr.; siblings Manuel Avila, Felix Avila, Nick Avila, Faye Romero, Raymond Avila, Jerry Avila and step-brother Little Felix.  Florence worked as a home health care provider for years.  She was a disciplinarian with love.  She was very faithful praying her rosary daily.  Florence is survived by her children Dorothy (Robert) Castillo, Betty Montez and Rudy (Laurie Sapeda) Martinez; her siblings Jimmy (Linda) Avila and Charlie (Bea) Avila; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.  Funeral Mass 9:30 a.m., Thurs.
