Francisca Reyna Cantu - March 9, 1928 - August 2, 2024
Francisca R. Cantu, 96, of Alamo TX. passed to her eternal life in Pueblo, CO on August 2, 2024.
Francisca was born in Donna TX. to parents Juan and Rita Reyna. She was one of 11 siblings whom she cherished and adored. Francisca was married to Rodolfo A. Cantu for 64 years. In that time she dedicated her life to her marriage, her four children, grandchildren, work, family and friends. Francisca enjoyed traveling the country with her husband, spending time with her family and friends, and her many hobbies that included needlework, sewing, gardening, painting and cooking.
Francisca R. Cantu is preceded in death by her loving husband Rodolfo A. Cantu, her daughter Amparo Romero, parents Juan and Rita Reyna, brothers Lazaro, Elies, Julian, Basilio, Jesus, Esequiel, Julian II, and sisters, Benita, Juanita and Elida. In-Laws Alfredo and Antonia Cantu, Sons-in-Law Donald Romero and Monico “Chuck” Vega and Daughter-in-Law Roquel Cantu.
She is survived by her son Eduardo Cantu, daughters Amalia Vega and Aurora O’Toole (Tim), 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Francisca is also survived by numerous close relatives, God children and friends.
The family of Francisca would like to thank the care providers at Villa Pueblo for their continuous care and a very heartfelt thanks to Molly Duran for her companionship and friendship to Francisca while at the Villa Pueblo. The family would also like to thank the entire family and staff of Angelus Chapel Funeral Services for their commitment and service to Francisca.
Funeral services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, San Juan, Texas

Funeral Service - Tuesday August 13, 2024
9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., burial to follow at Rio Grande State Veterans Cemetery.
