Frank Edward Javornik III, 65, lifetime Puebloan, was born on March 19, 1959, to Frank and Joan Javornik. He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Javornik Jr., In-laws: Frank and Elva Bensik and brother-in-law, Ricky Bensik.
Frank was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1977. As the oldest grandson at the age of 14, Frank joined his grandfather and father to learn the trade and be proficient in the meat industry. He was very good with different spices and made mouthwatering sausage. In 1982 he started F & M Sausage where he continued to make and provide to the Pueblo community working alongside his siblings and mother. He and his wife Rose opened Dad’s BBQ in 2003. His proudest moment was at the Smokin on the Water Competiton with 185 competitors; placing second in chicken and 18th overall. He enjoyed fishing and hunting throughout Colorado. He took pride in his collection of Cowboy Hats and guns. Frank loved being with his family and close friends.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rose Marie (Bensik) Javornik; children: Frank Javornik IV, Anthony Javornik (Amy), Ann (Ryan) Tack, Delbert Javornik; mother, Joan Javornik; grandchildren: Julianna, Ambyrlyn, Kaylee, Christopher, Austin (Juanita), Mason; great grand-daughter, Abrielle and great- grandson on the way; siblings, Terri Javornik (Annick), Edward (Veronica “V”) Javornik, James Javornik (Kelsie), Christopher Javornik (Christopher); In-laws, Ronnie (Theresa) Bensik, Connie (Russell) Abram, Nancy Bensik (Al), Mike (Mary) Bensik; numerous family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
