Frank G. Romero

Frank G. Romero, 72, passed away on June 5, 2021. He was born September 18, 1948 to parents Frank and Molly Romero both precede him in death, along with, brothers, Leroy (Beebops) Romero, Patrick Romero, Toby Romero. He graduated from Central High School in 1966.  After completion of high school he went on to enlist in the United States Air Force and served for 4 years.  On June 5th he married his wife of 50 years Martha Romero.  They went on to have two children Rita and LeRoy and several years later the family grew to include 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Frank was a loving father, grandfather, godfather, uncle, and brother in law. He was a devout Catholic and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus #557. Frank greeted everyone with his wonderful smile and his firm handshake.  He felt his greatest sense of pride and joy when he was helping others.  Everyone knew he would be there regardless of the circumstances and he would bring his witty sense of humor with him.  Frank had a special and unique relationship with each of his grandchildren.  His relationship with others defined him and brought great pride to his family. He was an avid Colorado sports fan but held a special place for the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.  He loved spending time in his yard and playing with his dog Mickey.  Frank loved his connection to the community and his family and would spend time calling them just to say hello. Frank retired from Airforce Academy and devoted his retirement years to his family.  Frank is survived by his wife of 50 years Martha Romero, children Rita (Ralph) Montez, Leroy (Jonette) Romero, grandchildren Danika (Daniel) Archuleta, Diego Montez, Chad (Aleece) Chavez Jr., Alycia Chavez, Jerika Rael, great grandchildren Donte, Julian, Dean, Olivia, Kryee, Dax, and, Mia.
