Georgia Mae Jackson

Georgia Mae Jackson, 67, passed away on June 22, 2026.  Born December 24, 1958 to Elbert Jackson and Lula Bell Simpson in Mississippi.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lula Bell Simpson; children, Vanessa and Jermaine; grandchildren, Elijah Jackson and Ka’Juan Watters; sisters, Linda Williams and Diane Jackson.

Georgia Mae loved listing to music of all kinds.  Going fishing, catching some healthy ones, she was very lucky.  She loved cooking and had several favorite dishes. She enjoyed hanging out with friends, especially special friends JR & Richard, spending time with family and was always willing to help others, no matter the need.  She loved to go shopping, spoiling her grandchildren.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas.  Mainly because she was born on Christmas Eve.  She would just extend the celebration.

Georgia love to color coordinate her outfits.  Making sure when she stepped out, she was looking good, head to toe.  But all in all her family: children and grandchildren were her world.  She instilled good values in each of them. Education, hard work, respect and having faith in God.

She will be missed by many, especially her children, Annie (Brian Captain) Jackson and Tyrone Jackson; father, Elbert J. Jackson; siblings, John Wise, Walter Jackson, Clarence Jackson, Mel Jackson, Francis Betty Jackson, Marilyn Jackson, Michael Jackson and David Simpson; grandchildren, Shantel Jackson, Jvonne Carter, Nataki Johnson, Precious Carter, Sergio Jackson, Destiny Jackson, De’Anna Parham, AI’Yanna Parham, Tyrone Jackson Jr, Ty’Anna Jackson, Legacie Stewart, Janessa Chatman, Jermain Jackson Jr.; 9 great grandchildren; aunt Annie Hudon, Mildred (Lionel) Irons along with numerous other family and friends.
