Gerald Penny, 71, passed away Oct. 25, 2021. He was born June 6, 1950, to Gerald W. and Lola Mae (Morgan) Penny both precede him death, along with siblings Michael Penny, Lovie Stovall, Burrel Penny, and Lovita Cunningham. Gerald was a happy go lucky man. He could never hold a grudge no matter how bad the situation was. He was a jack of all trades. He owned and operated “Penny do it all electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanic service”. Gerald always wanted to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing solitaire, and Tiger Woods. He was a huge sports fan. Gerald was a “momma’s boy” he was fearless, and, in her eyes, he could do no wrong. His family was his biggest joy, spending time with each of them was important to him. Gerald is survived by his children, Leon Penny, Scott Penny and Shaleena (Thomas) Brooks; his siblings, Lorna Clemons and Calvin “Codie” (Leticia) Jackson, stepfather, Calvin Jackson Sr., brother-in-law, Curtis Stoval; special friends, Charlotte (Edward) Hancock, and Sandra (Tony) Smith; 8 grandchildren, Ta’Mon, RaShad, Da’Vante, Kristina, Ja’Lena, Asya, Alizae, Taujanay; 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins to include partner Dale Morgan who will miss him dearly.
