Geraldine "Dene" Francis (Valdez) Martinez

Geraldine “Dene” Francis Martinez, 69, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026. She was born on July 11, 1956, in Pueblo, Colorado, to her proud parents, Joe and Mary Valdez.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Valdez; her brother, Chris Valdez; her grandfather, Grandpa Martinez; her nephew, Jacob Medina; her uncles, Ben Velasquez Sr. and Ben Velasquez Jr.; and other beloved aunts, uncles, and family members.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lenny Martinez; her daughters, Jeanette Rodriguez and Jaclynn Rodriguez; her siblings, Joan Valdez, Melvin Valdez (Stella), Ron Valdez (Deb), Conrad Valdez, Theresa Hernandez (Dave), Mike Valdez, and Gerald Valdez (Bernice); her cherished grandchildren, Isaac, Joey, Nathan, and Tiana; and her five great-grandchildren.

Dene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Pueblo, Colorado.
