Gertrude Ann Aldridge Ricord Rivera Marrs passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026. She was born in Delta County, Colorado, to Charles and Edna (Core) Aldridge of Cedar Edge, Colorado, on January 25, 1943.
She is predeceased by her mother, Edna (Core) Aldridge; her father Charles Aldridge; her husband Jack L. Marrs; her sisters Ricky Aldridge and Edna Marie “Dolly” (Aldridge) Spaulding; her daughter Lora Elliot; and her son Paul (Roberta) Rivera.
She is survived by her sister Linda (Dan) Geolfos; brother Bud (Sue) Aldridge; daughter Shirliann (John) Johnson of Grand Junction, Colorado; son Eddie (Laura) Ricord of Cañon City, Colorado; 13 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed the adventures of it. She loved her plants and gardening along with sitting quietly to watch the hummingbirds and other nature enjoying her flowers just as long as the deer didn’t eat them all.
She was full of vim and vinegar in her younger years but mellowed out and enjoyed time with her family along with video chatting with some of her great-grandchildren.
She was very proud of her children and all of their military service.
