Gloria Dorothy Montoya

Gloria Dorothy Montoya, 66, passed away Jan. 26, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 26, 1952 to the union of Max and Aurora (Santisteven) Gutierrez both preceded her in death, along with, brothers, John and Rick Gutierrez. Gloria graduated from Centennial High School and Pueblo Community College. She was honored with numerous achievement awards from Unisys and Pueblo County Social Services. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Gloria especially loved time with her grandchildren, she did her best to attend every significant event, making sure she never missed any. She witnessed all of her 11 grandchildren being born; attended every wedding, graduation and meaningful event, not only for her family but for her friends as well. Gloria was the best friend anyone could ask for and she lit up the room with her smile. There are not enough words to express the love she showed to others in her Godly and selfless way, She touched many lives and led them to the Lord. Gloria is survived by, her husband of 49 years, Frederick Montoya Sr; children, Freddie (Christina Santisteven) Montoya Jr., Bryan Montoya, Misty (William) Norton-Stewart and Lori (Danny) Beltran; sister, Elizabeth (George Mata) Gutierrez; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Memorial Service 10 a.m Thursday at Praise Assembly of God, Pastor Bobby Wilson, officiating. Private family inurnment at later date. Family will receive friends at Zaragoza Hall following service.
