Greg Krasieski Obituary

Gregory M. Krasieski, passed away on February 24, 2026.  He was born in Pueblo, Colorado on July 28, 1949 to Stanley Krasieski and Nellie (Valle) Krasieski.

Growing up in Pueblo, he had many childhood memories: being near the Arkansas River; being at his grandmother's restaurant, the El Valle Restaurant (formerly La Valencia) on Northern, with his mother, sister and his Uncle Tom Valle, as well as other aunts, uncles and cousins; and of his mother's beauty shop, the Elite Beauty Shop on Evans.

He graduated from Roncalli Catholic High School in 1967, and then from USC in Pueblo with a Bachelor's Degree.

He was a lifelong resident of southeastern Colorado with various trips and time spent in California, Arizona, Missouri and Iowa, as well as a trip to Mexico with his family when he was young.

He met his wife, Carol (Nelson) Krasieski, in Pueblo in 1984. They were married in July of 1989. They lived and raised their 3 sons initially in Pueblo and Pueblo West, and then primarily outside of Rye, Colorado where he faithfully attended churches in the Greenhorn Valley with his family, and where he worked for CSS Farms, Three Sisters Restaurant, the Rye post office and San Isabel Recreation before retiring at 73.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Krasieski and an infant son, Stanley Reuben.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Krasieski and their 3 sons- Manoa, Shamoa and Shadrak, his sister Suzanne DeMark of Independence, Missouri, a niece and a nephew and their children, and many other cousins, relatives and friends.

Throughout his life, Greg was always interested in keeping up with various sporting events and games, especially football, as well as watching classic action adventure movies and westerns. Most of all he enjoyed being in the great outdoors of God's creation, whether it be at the reservoir or hiking trails by the creeks in the mountains or next to a campfire with the wood he had gathered.

As he grew stronger in his faith, he had a growing desire for everyone to come to know the same mercy and grace he had experienced through our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, with Romans, Chapter 8 becoming an especially meaningful passage of Scripture to him in recent years.

He was a devoted husband and father who was always willing to make sacrifices for his family, as best he could, and we will certainly miss all the good and fun times we had with him here, until that glorious day when we will see him again!

We are comforted knowing that even though he is now absent from the body, he is present with the LORD!!
