Gwendolyn Yvonne Jones Fulton Bradley Howard
On April 17, 1954, the Lord allowed His heavenly angel to walk upon His Earth, with Elsie and Henry Weekly being bearers and producers of His good seed. Gwendolyn was 4th of 8 children. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Gwendolyn was educated in the Chicago Public School system, attending Marconi Elementary and John Marshall High School, where she excelled in her studies and achieved academic success. Perfecting her craft, she acquired her nursing degree in Colorado, where she resided until the Lord called her home.
Gwen confessed her love and faith to our Lord and Savior at an early age. Her favorite Biblical scripture is Psalm 23. She continued to be a faithful and loyal shepherd, worshipping, trusting, and obeying our Lord and Savior until He called her home to be with Him for eternity on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
She was a devoted wife to her husband, Jim, and a staunch mother to her children Sherrice, Michelle, Deserae, and Jason, and her stepchildren Daniel and Jessica, whom she dearly loved. She loved the fellowship of her church family and grew more in her faith under the teaching and direction of her late pastor, Daniel Hernandez, at Good Shepherd Fellowship Church.
She will be remembered as a person who loved with sincerity and kindness, which was evident in raising her grandchildren Navaeh, Savanna, Niko, and Rosie.
Gwendolyn was welcomed home by her beloved husband, James “Jimbo” Howard; her father, Henry Weekly; two daughters, Jacqueline Parker and Deserae Bradley; one grandson, Demetrius “Mechie” Collins, one sister, Geraldine, and four brothers, Ray, Tyrone, Marlon, and Lawrence Jones, who preceded her in death. Her family was her strength, and her love for them was immeasurable.
She entrusts and leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Elsie Weekly; brother, Charles Jones; sister, Sabrina Jones; daughters Sherrice and Michelle Fulton; son, Jason Bradley; stepson, Daniel Howard; stepdaughter, Jessica Howard; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of first, second, and third generations of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.
