Icom Evans Obituary

Icom Henry Evans, 78, passed away March 30, 2018. A lifetime Puebloan, he was born Dec. 31, 1939, to proud parents, Hellon and Charles Evans. Both preceded him in death. Henry served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from CMHIP as a correctional officer with 20 years of service, attaining the rank of lieutenant. He is survived by his loving wife, Johanna Evans; his children, Jo Madlyn Evans, Icom (Michelle) Evans II, Michael Evans, Eva Prakash, Om Prakash II and Neal Prakash; 14 grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; step-brother, Rick Hill; his best friend whom he considered his brother, Harold Archuleta; several in-laws; other relatives and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018, New Bethany Baptist Church, 2622 Lakeview Ave., Pastor Orval Miles officiating. Military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Burial, Fort Logan National Cemetery.
