Jacqueline Marie Rivas

Jacqueline Marie Rivas, 43, was born March 19, 1979 in Ft. Collins, CO and passed away May 24, 2022 in Grand Junction, CO. Jacque is preceded in death by her beloved son, Avery Roman, as well as her grandfathers, Crestino Valdez and John Rivas.

She was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1997 and the University of Southern Colorado. She was employed at Mind Springs in Grand Junction.

Jacque is survived by her sons, Peyton and Benny Roman. Her mom, Valerie Valdez (Wade Decker); her dad, Gary (Karen) Rivas; brother, Chris “Bubba” Rivas (Kayla); sister, Delaynee Decker (Robbie); grandmothers, Viola Valdez and Clara Rivas; nephews, Asher and Ander; niece to be, Presley; step-dad, Jed Rowland;  best friend, Reah Santangelo; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday May 31st at 12noon at the IBEW Local 12 Hall 2901 Farabaugh Ln. Food and drinks will be provided. Per her request in her freshman year will- a keg of Budlight will be provided.

In lieu of flowers and food; donations can be made to Angelus Chapel or the Avery Roman Blue Cup Scholarship in the Care of the Central High School Foundation.
