James Lucero

James Lucero, 81, passed away Jan. 31, 2022. He was born on July 18, 1940 to parents, Timothy Lucero and Rita Ann Aragon both of whom preceded him in death along with brothers, Henry, Tony, Timothy, George, and Patrick; sisters, Eileen Dudzinski, Rita Carter, and Josephine Fike.

James was married for 57 years to Janice Ann Lucero. He worked as a physical education teacher at South Park Elementary District 60. He brought Gymnastics to Pueblo, CO from 1968 – 1994 and was inducted into the Greater Pueblo Sports Hall of Fame in 1994. James owned and operated Trophy City from 1977 – 2013.

James is survived by his spouse, Janice Ann Lucero; daughter, Lori Ann (Richard) Guerrero; Grandchildren, Briley, and Braxton Manzanares; sisters, Phyllis Parker, and Juanita Castillo. He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
