Joann Gomez, 63, passed away April 1, 2025. She was born October 21, 1961. She is preceded in death by her father, Ruben Santistevan; siblings, Thelma Santistevan, Nancy Santistevan, John Rivera; father-in-law, Isidro Gomez; mother-in-law, Consuelo Najera.
Joann loved her family with all her heart and soul. Her husband, sons and grandchildren were her world. She always pushed for success with her children. Getting an education was not an option it was a requirement.
She never judged anyone for their flaws and was always their number 1 supporter. She never gave up the faith in anyone she loved. She always said love is patient and patient she was.
Joann worked in the insurance industry for the past 26 years. She started as an insurance agent for one stop insurance and eventually converted to an independent insurance agent through Best Rate insurance and eventually opening up her own insurance company Joann Gomez Insurance Agency. Joann had a superior customer service mission for her business. She pride herself on going above and beyond for her customers and providing an extended service to her Spanish speaking customers of translation of documents free of charge. Service to community was a calling and she did that without any reservation. She believed a bilingual business was an essential pillar to a successful business and her years of service reflect her success.
She was a powerful voice and advocate for the Mexican community. She loved her culture and never apologized for being a strong successful Chicana.
¡Sí se Puedo!
