Joann Elaine Martinez

Joann Elaine Martinez, 76, passed away after a brief illness June 21, 2021, in Colorado Springs. She was born April 17, 1945 in San Luis Colorado to proud parents Joe Max and Elva Josephine Castro Herrera both precede her in death along with siblings, Pauline Casus and Ben Herrera; mother-in-law, Elvira Martinez; nieces, Diane Rubio and Angela Montano and other family members. Joann was a fun and loving person; anyone she could help she would; always volunteering her services in the community alongside her husband Gilbert. Joann had a very strong faith and loved the Lord, but above all she loved being with her family who were her world. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Gilbert Orlando “GoGo” Martinez; her children, Donald J. Chacon, Jeff M. Chacon, John A. Chacon and Lorrie Ann Chacon;  siblings, Elena Juarez, Becky Bowman, Rose Herrera, Phyllis Lucero; several in-laws, to include, brother in law, Julian Casaus; grandchildren, Desiree, Delilah, Nicole, Rikki, Janessa, Darick and Joseph; great grandchildren, Krystalynn Leandro, Sophia and abundance of relatives and friends who loved and will miss Joann.
