Joe Pete Ruybal, 83, passed away Aug. 16, 2023. He was born April 12, 1940 to parents Don and Rose (Trujillo) Ruybal in Sanford, CO. both precede him in death along with; his daughter, Antionette Ruybal; granddaughter, Tamberina Sandoval; brothers, Roger (Lolly) Ruybal, John “Bakers” Ruybal, Thomas (Kathy) Ruybal, Danny Ruybal; sisters, MaryAnn Ruybal, Eleanor Ruybal, Regina Ruybal, Donna Martinez and Dolores Gonzales.
Joe served in the U.S. Navy. He attended the following schools: the Advance School Inc. for electricity and electronics, King College’s accounting training program, and graduated with honors with a Associate of Applied Science Degree from Pueblo Community College. His accolades include: Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy, retiring from the CF&I Steel Corporation with 43 years of service, and NCR Certificate (Programming for Electronic Data Processing System). Joe enjoyed reading, gambling and traveling. Most of all he loved spending time with family especially his best friend and wife, Louise.
Joe is survived by; his loving wife, of 58 years Louise (Sandoval) Ruybal; son Henry (Sonya) Ruybal; daughters, Maria Ruybal and Linda (Ruybal) Hoffman; brothers Felix (Sharon) Ruybal, David Ruybal, Anthony (Rose) Ruybal; sisters, Helen (Jim) Graham, Rosalie (Joe) Zuniga, Christine (Leeroy) Bachicha, Elaine (Ernie) Tayle, Sandra Ruybal, Lisa (Mike) Gallegos; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; In-laws, Priscilla Ruybal and Sonny Gonzales.
Memorial Mass, 10 am, Wed. Aug. 23, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Military Honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Internment at Roselawn Cemetery.
