Joeylin McDonald Obituary

On April 18, 2025 our sweet Joeylin Kenley McDonald became an angel at the age of 13. Joeylin Kenley was born on September 29, 2011 to Jeremy and Lauren McDonald, in Pueblo, Colorado.

She attended Connect Charter school and loved being there and enjoyed her classmates. She was dedicated to her exhibitions team and presentation this year and they were headed to state, after taking second at regionals. Joeylin was active in the Pueblo Community, participating in dance, soccer, pageant, and many community service events. She has danced since she was around age 6, most recently at Sarah Shaw Dance Studio. She in the last year was in hip hop, jazz, pom jazz, ballet, contemporary, and tap. She loved being at the studio with friends and instructors and was elegant on stage for recital. Joeylin was also a lifelong soccer player, playing fall and spring seasons most years since she was 4 years old. She most recently was on an all-girl team who is undefeated this season. Joeylin was crowned Miss Jr Spirit 2024 in the Miss Pueblo County Scholarship Program. She was also runner up for Miss Pre-Teen, where she made many friends and energetically gave her heart to other contestants. With the pageant she participated in community parades and appearances. She was also a Rosemont Museum Tour Intern, and part of the Pueblo UCCS Pre-Colliegate Program.

Joeylin spent countless hours with her brothers and sisters. She was always the first to play with dolls with her younger sisters and check on big sister after a long day. She spent several hours giving back to the community, typically alongside her older sister. She would play Minecraft with little brother, and wrestle against big brother. She loved to read and spent many hours discussing books and history with any family member who would listen, but especially mom. She was a huge daddy’s girl, and they spent many Friday nights watching scary movies. She loved to bake and cook and was very artistic.

Joeylin is survived by her parents Jeremy and Lauren McDonald, siblings Jamysun, Landen, Loegan, Jacyann and Jilyonn McDonald. As well as her Grandparents Vic Garcia and Mary Hackler, and Kay Lake.
