John Alvarado, 83, passed away on December 1, 2018. He was born on August 19, 1935 to the union of Abraham and Andrea Alvarado who both proceed him in death, along with, siblings, Jose, Florie, Reuben, Ricardo, Esther and Julia. John served in the Army, ran his own business, Steel City Painting, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Pueblo German Club. He loved camping, fishing and the Broncos. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Lolita Kessler Alvarado; children, Tina, Michael, and Gary Alvarado; sister, Roberta Medina; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. Rosary 9:15 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m both at St. Joseph Catholic Church; Interment at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Military Honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Family will receive friends at St. Joseph Parish Hall following burial rites.
