John “Juan” Alfredo Valdez, age 95, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away on May 5, 2025, in the town where he lived. He was born on October 26th, 1929, in Wagon Mound, New Mexico, to Belisario and Rosita Valdez. John was preceded in death by his parents; his infant daughter, Dorothy Ann Valdez; and his siblings, Antonio, Armando, Ben, Agapito, and Clarita Valdez. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Theodore Sr.) Garcia, Christine (Lorenzo) Pacheco , and Jennie Valdez; several grandchildren, Crystalyn Garcia (Kevin), Theodore (Courtney) Garcia Jr., Vonnie and Kimberly Tapia, and Angie Valdez; great grandchildren, Myla and Myles Haung, Arsenio, Margaret and Della Garcia, Jazmen and Selena Tapia, Marivel, Jaylynn and Breanna Padilla; great great grandson, Matteo Tapia; nieces, nephews, family and friends. His loving pets, Lobo, Rusty and George Bush. John proudly served his country in the Korean War. He retired from the CF&I in 1983 after 30 years of dedicated service.
Rosary, 10 am, and Funeral Mass, 10:45 am, Wed., May 14, 2025 at St. Francis Xavier Church. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens .
