John P. Duran Jr., 67, affectionately known as "Juanie", passed away Nov. 2, 2024. A lifetime Puebloan, he was born Dec. 28, 1956 to proud parents John P. and Dorothy (Baca) Duran Sr. both precede him in death along with his brother Alan Duran; baby, Bernard Dan Alan; in-laws, Louie and Vicky Garcia.
John worked as a cement finisher. He was a jokester always making everyone laugh. He enjoyed going fishing and spending time with family. He loved to collect and tinker around. He was a very kind and giving person, always wanting to help anyone and was also very welcoming.
John is survived by his loving wife Tambra (Garcia) Duran; his children, Ara (Tom) Martinez, Jada Duran, Renea Avalos, John (Andrea) Duran and Pia Duran; his siblings, Bernard Duran, Paula Duran, JoAnn Pacheco, Dan (Theresa) Duran, Valarie (Manuel Mares) Sanchez, Annette Crespin, and Cindy Smithour; in-laws, Aaron Garcia and Jerome (Lorraine) Garcia; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved and will miss John.
