Jose J. Medina, 89, passed away April 22, 2019. A lifetime Puebloan he was born Feb. 16, 1930 to Jose & Carlota (Garcia) Medina who precede him in death along with siblings, Mike Medina, Ignacio (Mary) Medina, Vikki Olivas, Mary Navarres, Angie Ayala, and Lucy (Jess) Garcia. Jose served in the U.S. Army, and retired from the CF & I as a steelworker. He enjoyed watching cowboy and super hero movies, crossword puzzles, photography, and drawing. When he could, he would enjoy swimming, too. Jose loved to challenge his children with his words, most of all he loved his time with his family. Jose leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife of 58 years, Mary C. Medina; children, Becki Vigil, Jose L. (May) Medina, Kathy Medina, Bobby (Michelle) Medina, Lisa Medina; grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah, Crystal, Kaylene, Kendra, Jaclyn, Kyle, Aundrea, Alex, and Adrian; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Virginia (Andy) Bobian, Helen (Tino) Herrera, Espie Leyba, Tomi Trujillo; In-laws, Louie (Doma) Gallegos, Lupita Gonzales, Celia Medina, Patsy Gallegos, and Martha Gonzales; other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Rosary 6p.m Thursday at Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass 10 am Friday, St. Francis Xavier. Interment Roselawn Cemetery.
