Joseph A Montoya Sr

Joseph A. Montoya Sr., 73, passed away June 1, 2023.  He was born May 16, 1950 in Trinidad, CO. to parents, Isidoro and Dorothy (Givens) Montoya who both precede him in death along with his wife, Marylou (Samora) Montoya and sister, Nadine Padilla.  Joseph proudly served in the U.S. Army, then graduated from PCC.  He enjoyed being outdoors, riding his motorcycle, working on cars and spending time with Eli sharing his love, words of wisdom and life lessons.  Being with his family was his priority, he was a true family man and excellent provider, his motto was “Family First”

Joseph is survived by his sons, Joseph A. Montoya Jr and Anthony S. (Jenny) Montoya;  4 grandchildren; brothers, Dickie (Laura) Montoya and Dennis (Mariann) Montoya; brother-in-law, Bob Padilla; goddaughter, Kimberly Wolfe; special sister-in-law, Louise Samora; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him. At his request cremation.

 Inurnment, 10 am Thurs. June 8, 2023 at Imperial Memorial Gardens .
