Josie "Jo" Rendon

Josie “Jo” Rendon, 88, passed away Fri., May 3rd, 2024. Jo was born in El Rito, Colorado in 1936 to Ben and Casimira “Casey” Martinez who preceded her in death along with the love of her life, Chuck Rendon; her sister, Katy Barton, sons, Joe Rendon and Ricky Rendon, son-in-law, Manuel Lopez; brother-in-laws, Johnny Duran Sr., Don Barton, and Dominick Sanchez.

Jo loved to play cards and bingo with her friends. Her sons and daughter were everything to her, she always said they were a gift from God.

Survived by sons, Ben “Ginger” Rendon, Anthony (Vanessa) Rendon and daughter Diana Lopez; sisters Liz Duran and Margaret Sanchez; daughter-in-law and good friend, Anna Mae Cruz; daughters-in-law, Antoinette Rendon and Angie Rendon; grandchildren, Gabrielle (Jake) Duran, Audrey (JT) LaFountain, Joanna Martinez, Ashley (Chad) Holloman, Michael (Kiele) Rendon, Gage Rendon, Hunter Rendon, Noelle Rendon, Rachael (Lee) Rendon, Rico (April) Rendon, MerriDee (Joe) Pallisco, Joseph (Debra) Lopez, Manuel Lopez II and Lauren Rendon; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much; adopted sister, Patsy Medina and adopted brother, Donald Medina; god-children, Sandy Duran, Desarae “Sissy” Speroni, Lisa Marin, Wanda Duran, and Joseph Lopez.

Rosary, Friday May 17, 2024 at 1:30 pm with Funeral Mass to follow at  2 pm at St. Francis Xavier Church. Reception to follow in church hall.
