Julio R. Chavez

Julio R. Chavez, 84, passed away August 9, 2024. He was born October 27, 1938 in New Mexico to parents, Julio and Sophia (Cordova) Chavez who both precede him in death.

Julio enjoyed fishing and hunting. He and his wife loved to dance. Julio played the accordion and played in a band. He was a member of The Knight of Columbus. Julio was a devout catholic and taught catechism for many years.

Julio is survived by his spouse, Angie Chavez; children, Domenic (Rebecca) Chavez, Joe Ray Chavez, Anna Chavez, Tina Chavez, and Brian (Jeni); niece, Lorraine Gutierrez; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

At his request cremation, service in New Mexico at a later date.
