Keith F. Carpenter, 70, went to be with the Lord, on July 19th, 2022. Born on April 18th 1952 in Vallejo California, raised in Napa California, Son of Roger and Dorothea Carpenter. Resident of Pueblo Colorado since 1979.
Keith grew up in Napa California where he developed his love for tennis. While teaching tennis at local county clubs, Keith earned his AA at Napa Junior College. He later transferred to S.C.S.C., in Pueblo Colorado on a full tennis scholarship earning his BA in Psychology and minor in Math. After moving back to Napa with his soon to be wife, he pursued a Master degree in social work and worked as a probation officer at Napa Juvenile Hall. Upon returning to Pueblo with his family, Keith worked at J&J Paving (Mesa Paving) as an estimator, superintendent and later vice president. Throughout his adulthood, Keith enjoyed competing in tennis tournaments. He later became an avid runner and completed a marathon in Idaho. He frequently ran 5k’s and especially enjoyed his Saturday morning runs with his friends. Keith was an intelligent man with a great sense of humor and wit. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, crafting, photography and camping with his wife of 47 years. Keith loved to play the guitar for his grandkids and listen to his favorite bands from his era. His cleverness and love for the outdoors will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Keith is proceeded in death by his parents, Roger and Dorothea Carpenter and survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marie V. (Martinez) Carpenter, Sister Judy (Roger) Goldie, daughter Reyna Carpenter (Shane Marvin), daughter Shauna Carpenter (Ray Sandoval), Son John Carpenter (Leandra Martinez), grandchildren Synquiss Carter, Joshua (Tana) Green, Terryle (Lexi) Carter, Makayla Carpenter, Talon (Josh) Kennison, great grandchildren Demicia, Tiera Belle, and Zara Lee, sister-in-law Georgina (Joe) Daffin, brother-in-law Butch (Fran) Martinez, numerous nieces and nephews and loved by many special friends.
Memorial service will be held 10am, Friday, August 5th, at Our Lady of the Meadows, 23 Starling Dr, Pueblo, CO. 81005.
