Kenneth Charles Prien

Kenneth Charles Prien, 81, passed away November 20, 2025. He was born January 15, 1944 in La Jara, Colorado to parents, Charles and Ida (Cruz) Prien. They both precede him in death along with his grandmother, Genevieve Ruybal; sister, Earnestine Prien;; brother, George Prien; and his dog, pitbull Bo.

Kenneth joined the Marines after graduation from High School; he proudly served for 6 years. He received many awards for his sharpshooting during that time. He enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing, camping, and hunting elk were some of favorite hobbies with his loyal dog Milo by his side. He will be truly missed by all his family and all those who knew him.

Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Kendra Prien, Debbie (Raymundo) Chavira, Karen Prien and Jackie (Berna) Peña; brothers, Henry (Liz) Prien and Andrew Prien; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and ex-wife, Dorothy Prien, mother of his children.

Funeral Service, 10 am, Tues., Nov. 25, 2025 at The Angelus Chapel. Military honors, Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Inurnment, Roselawn Cemetery.
