Larry Vincent Hernandez

Larry Vincent Hernandez, 71, passed away March 24, 2025. A lifelong Puebloan, he was born June 3, 1953 to parents, Jess and Inez Hernandez. Both precede him in death along with his father and mother-in-law, Frank and Francis Martinez; brother, Danny Hernandez; stepfather, Ray Duran; and sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Carmen

Larry grew up in BoJon town and was a Central High School graduate, Class of 1971. He then went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army where he was a paratrooper. Upon his return Larry started working for the U.S. Postal service and retired with 20 plus years of service. In his younger years he enjoyed coaching baseball. He was a huge Bronco fan, loved to play pool, gamble, go to Cripple Creek, and watch old movies, especially King Kong. Larry enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with his grandkids sharing his life stories, lessons, words of wisdom and his love for each of them. Larry and Suzie shared 53 years of love nurturing their beautiful family.

Larry is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Martinez) Hernandez; his children, Francine (Rob Montano) Hernandez and Larry Hernandez; 5 grandchildren, Justin Hernandez, Deja Hernandez ( Johnny Quintana), Aniya Hernandez, Mila Hernandez, and Kali Montano; 1 great grandchild, Jaryn Quintana; twin brother, Jerry (Gloria) Hernandez; sisters, Mona Hernandez and Gloria (Dino) Carlini; godchildren, Jerry Hernandez Jr. and Audelia Martinez; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved and will miss Larry.

Funeral Service, 10 am, Wed., April 2, 2025 at The Angelus Chapel. Military Honors, Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
