Lorena I. Gatlin, 51, passed away Aug. 30, 2025 in Denver, Colorado. She was born Oct. 25, 1973 to Arthur and Regina (Allen) Cortez, both precede her in death along with father of her children, Anthony Burns Sr.; grandson, Mateo Rivera and brother, Jerry Cortez.
Lorena is a loving, beautiful, homebody, and hilarious women! She lived for her children and family. She leaves to cherish her memory her two children, Anthony Burns and Brinda Burns; her two sisters, Michele Elmore, and Penelope Romero; her three grandchildren, Arthenia Burns, Amari and Ziva Rivera and one on the way, who loved her dearly. Lorena brought light to many people’s day. She was a huge part of her children and grandchildren’s life. Sick or not you could always count on her to answer your call or help in any way. She would talk you ear off about nothing at all! Lorena was a gem you could never stay mad at her. She was our life and we will cherish all our memories.
