Loretta Garcia, 67, passed away Dec. 17, 2025. She was born August 21, 1958 to parents, Joe and Susie (Calderon) Garcia; both preceded her in death along with her brother, Andy Garcia; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Charmaine Barney; Godson, Manuel Espinosa Jr.
Loretta was a proud Central High School graduate, Class of 1976. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, scratch tickets, and going on trips to Cripple Creek. In her younger years she loved to play basketball and softball. Although she didn’t like cooking, she was a great cook. Loretta loved to be around her family. Sharing her life stories, lessons and her love with each of them. Loretta had a great memory, she knew all the dates, numbers, and everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions. She kept in contact with all her besties, who she grew up with and still lived in Salt Creek.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bill Barney; brothers, Joey (Esther) Garcia and Patrick (Jeanette) Garcia; brothers-in-law, Kevin, Craig (Marla), Brent (Tina), Brad (Donna) and David (Toni); sister-in-law, Sharyl (Robert) Haskin; God children, Irene Calderon, Stefan Garcia, and Sofia Gonzales; her besties, Juna, Vivian, Debbie and Chita; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and family members who will miss her.
Rosary, 1:30 pm and Funeral Mass to immediately follow, Mon., Dec. 29, 2025, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
