Loretta Garcia Valdez, 65, passed away December 13, 2025. She was born October 3, 1960 to parents, Edward and Rose (Jaramillo) Valdez. Both precede her in death along with her sister, Esther Valdez; in-laws, Guadalupe and Jennie Garcia; and brother-in-law, Richard Garcia.
Loretta was the life of the party. She loved shopping, always buying her some clothes and shoes. Her favorite song was, “I had a tiny turtle”. She loved working at the Washington Day Care for many years until it closed. Then she went to spend the rest of her time at Life Care Academy where she spent her time till she could not work anymore. Loretta loved working with The Kid’s and all her co-workers, where they all became family to her. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, singing to all her grandkids. She loved supporting her grandkids in their sports, she was their biggest fan. She was always ready to help with all their fundraisers.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Gary Garcia; daughters, Monique (Felix) Ballejos and Roxanne (Richard) Valenzuela; son, Lupe (Ruth) Valdez; 11 grandchildren, Aaron, Xavier, Miah, Aiden, Feliciano, Aeneas, Alissa, Khloe, Melanie, Liyah and Shaylianna; 2 great grandchildren, Itzayana and Andres; sisters, Helen (Frank) Carrillo and Lydia Valdez; and brother, Edward Rock Valdez.
Funeral Service, 10 am, Wed., January 21st, 2025 at The Angelus Chapel.
