Loretta G Lucero

Loretta G. Lucero, 62, affectionately known as Auntie Retta, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Oct. 17, 2023. She was born on Aug. 19, 1961 to parents Ruben and Hilda (Chavez) Valdez. Both precede her in death along with her niece, Tisha Meadow Valdez; grandparents and numerous relatives.

Loretta was a proud graduate from Central High School, Class of 1979. She loved her dogs and cats. She enjoyed card making, scary movies and was a big Broncos Fan. Loretta was known for her delicious green chile. Most of all she loved being a Nana.

Loretta is survived by her beloved husband, Ernest Lucero Jr.; children, Alicia (Adam) Trujillo and Nicholas (Edward) Abeyta Chavez; grandchildren, Angelo and Anthony Trujillo; siblings, Jeannine Keller, Lisa Valdez and Pete Valdez; in laws, Ernest Sr. and Dollie Lucero, Steve, Sue and Rhonda Lucero, Karen (Jerry) Turner and Sharon (Jeff) Cernik; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved and will miss her.

Funeral Mass, 10 am, Fri., Oct. 27, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Church.
