Louis H. Hernandez, 92, passed away January 3, 2026. He was born on November 23, 1933 to Pedro and Bartola (Hilarez) Hernandez in Phoenix, Arizona, who preceded him in death along with his brother Henry Hernandez.
Louis greatly enjoyed fishing, dancing, Ranchera and Tejano music, and was an avid Denver Broncos fan. He was a man of all trades, and especially loved working in the garden and building/repairing electronic devices of all kinds. More than anything, Louis dedicated himself to every day acts of generosity and kindness, helping family, neighbors, and strangers.
Louis leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Mary (Mora) Hernandez, daughters Teresa Hernandez and Deborah Bargas, son Daniel Hernandez, and sister Virgina Villa; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and many dear relatives and friends who will miss him.
Our deepest appreciation goes out to our family and friends who have comforted and supported us over the past few years. We would especially like to thank: Jim Bacino, Bob and Adrea Degarbo, John and Gretchen Keller, the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament, Louis’s dedicated doctors, Pueblo’s incredible first responders, the caring and compassionate hospital staff, and our dear friends Eloisa and April Vargas.
Rosary Friday Jan. 23, 2026 at 9:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow; both at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens. Full obit and online condolences at www.angeluspueblo.com
