Luis Angel Ibarra, 74, went to be with the Lord January 2, 2021. Luis was preceded in death by his parents. Luis is survived by the Love of his Life of 51 years, Loretta and his three children Raymond (Monica), Danny (Veronica) and Angela (Frank); his 8 grandchildren, Jose Martinez, Brittany Ibarra, Raymond Ibarra Jr.. MacKinzee Kinney, Christopher Ibarra, Tanner Kinney, Kellen Kinney, Aidan Guillen and 2 great-grandchildren, Reyanne Ibarra and Amelia Ibarra; his beloved brother Ray (Laura), sisters Cecilia (Javier), Argelia (John) and Rosa as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Luis served his country in Vietnam with the Army in the 5th Infantry Division and was a proud Veteran and patriot. Luis retired from Ft. Carson in 2010 after 37 years of Federal Civil Service. Luis adored his wife Loretta. He loved taking her on road trips to visit family, especially his hometown of San Antonio, TX. Luis was a devout family man, dedicated to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Luis is also revered by many in the community as being a father figure for them as well. Luis was well-known for his voice on Tejano radio and Master of Ceremony at many events. His love and ambition for Tejano music inspired many in TX, NM and CO. Luis lit up any room he walked into. He had a heart of gold. He is loved by many and we will miss him dearly. Funeral Mass. 10 a.m Thursday St. Joseph's Catholic Church. 1145 S. Aspen Rd Pueblo, CO. Masks required.
