Madelyn was a devout Catholic attending mass at the then Assumption parish and now St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church. She was a member of the order of Carmelite and the Red Hats.
She was a fantastic singer her voice was so beautiful. She also played the organ and piano and was a good tap dancer. She was an avid Canasta player. She was a social butterfly, could make friends easily. Madelyn also loved to dance. She would just glide on the dance floor. She and her husband, Arthur, were the best dancers.
Madelyn was about her family. She loved sharing her life stories, words of wisdom and her love for each of them. You never left her home without eating. She would always have something to eat for you. In her earlier years she would make tamales, up to 500, and food for the guys at the CF&I. Madelyn was a fashionista, always dressed from head to toe. Everything matching and accessorized. She was a shopper and instilled that in her girls. But most of all she was the kindest, loving mother, grandmother and friend.
She told her kids that she was always the first to raise her hand to be in all the talent shows. She was very animated and entertaining to family and friends. Madelyn did not have a shy bone in her body. She was proud to be the matriarch of four generations. Her favorite places to eat were Mi Ranchito and Jorge’s. She enjoyed visiting her friends everywhere she went.
She will forever be loved and missed.
