Maria Del Carmen Garcia Rubio

Maria Del Carmen Garcia Rubio, 89, passed away April 13, 2022. She was born August 10, 1932, in Pecos New Mexico to parents Macario and Petra (Elizondo) Garcia both of whom precede her in death along with son, Francisco Rubio.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking. She would make 15 dozen tamales for the holidays. She loved being pampered by her family and was so proud to be the matriarch of four generations. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were here pride and joy. She instilled in each of them faith, education, and hard work. She was very proud of her family and always told them to appreciate everything because life is too short.

Maria del Carmen leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Martha (Thomas) Aguilera, Gricelda (Pedro) Medina, Imelda (Bryan) Sanchez, Maria (Dagoberto Altamira) Rubio; 12 grandchildren to include Krystal, her caretaker, whom she loved like a daughter, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
