Maria "Mary" Platt

Maria “Mary” Platt, passed away Oct. 29, 2023. She was born in Walsenburg on Nov. 29, 1963 to Raymond And Theresa Baros.

She graduated from John Mall High School in Walsenburg in 1982, and attended Pueblo Community College, receiving her degree in cosmetology. She also attended Colorado State University in Pueblo, receiving her degree in accounting.

Most recently she received her real estate license. She was successfully pursuing a real estate career.

Mary was very well known for her outgoing nature and humor. She was loved by everyone she knew.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Ramon and Elena Baros, Ben and Margaret Manzanares, niece, Quanisha Baros; brothers in law, Anthony Pino and Jim Jesse.

She is survived by her husband, Pete Platt; son, Chay Perez; granddaughters, Annie and Nomi Perez; a brother, Jose (Andi) Baros; sisters, Helen Pino, Vickie Baros, Rita Serrato, and Rebecca (David) Usjuarez; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a viewing Fri., Nov. 3, 2023  in Pueblo from 2 pm – 4 pm, at Angelus Chapel, 1102 E. Evans, Pueblo, CO.

At Mary’s request, cremation will follow.
