Grams enjoyed playing the Lottery, 2, 2, 2, visiting with family, and going to watch the kids play baseball. She was a huge Bronco fan, win or lose. Grams loved going out to eat with friends and family. She looked forward to spending quality time with each of them, sharing life lessons, stories, words of wisdom and of course her love that she spread to everyone. Grams loved to go visit her sister in Avondale to catch up on the news. She was a very faithful lady who instilled God into her children and grandchildren. She was always praying for everyone daily. The kids knew if they said they were bored her first words would be “Let’s pray the rosary.” She had a special place for the dogs and one stray cat who she named Goliath. She loved her little animals. Grams helped start the Union at St. Mary Corwin. She always remembered marching with Bishop Buswell, something she will never forget. She was short in stature but a true Firecracker.
Myrtle is survived by her sons, Joey Montoya and Don (Phyllis) Montoya; sisters-in-law, Rose Olivas and Mary Triana; brother-in-law, Juan Lucero, grandchildren, Melina (Rodolfo), Jose (Lizet) and Kristin; great grandchildren, Roni, Sol, Metzli, and Fabi; extended family, Socorro, Miguel and Betty, Isa and Mikey Rodriguez, and Joe Roderick; numerous godchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
