Mario Simon Luna, 49, passed away on January 11, 2026. He was born on August 29, 1976, to John Ramirez and MaryAnn Tenorio Sisneros.
Mario worked on oil rigs for 20 years before becoming a caretaker for individuals with special needs, a role that brought great joy to his heart. He had a deep love for music, especially oldies, and was known for his beautiful singing voice. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing and camping, and was a devoted sports fan, with football being his favorite.
Mario was extremely talented with metalwork, crafting swords, etching designs, and sharpening knives. Above all else, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family;sharing stories, laughter, and his unforgettable humor. A natural jokester, Mario had a gift for making others laugh and was affectionately known as “Big Happy” by those closest to him.
Mario shared an especially close bond with his daughter Santana, his beloved sidekick. They spent countless hours together, talking, laughing, and sharing life stories, lessons, secrets, and unconditional love; a bond that could never be broken.
Mario is survived by his wife, Tricia Cisneros Luna; children, Santana Luna, Maria Cisneros, and David Sisneros; grandchildren, Journey, Ava, and Maverick; his mother, MaryAnn Tenorio Sisneros; his father, John Ramirez; siblings, Fermin (Lori) Ramirez and Sabrina Ramirez; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including the Luna family, all of whom will miss him dearly.
