Obituary
Martha Jean Cabral, 78, passed away August 15, 2023, affectionately known to family and friends as “Candy”. A lifetime Puebloan she was born February 16, 1945 to parents Joseph and Candelaria (Marquez) Cabral, both precede her in death along with her son Richard “Bam Bam” Duran; mother Annie Viramontes; siblings Lupe, Carmen, Lolly, Mary, Mary Ellen, Nick and Joe. Candy was well known in the Bessemer community, she had a heart of gold, a great personality, willing to help anyone in need. Candy loved to dance, listen to music especially oldies. Candy is survived by her children Josie “JoJo” Madrid, Tracy Madrid; one brother Jess “Chewy” Cabral; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, California sisters and a host of friends who loved and will miss her. A special Thank You to Center Care Hospice for their guidance. Celebration of Life, 11 am, Fri. Aug. 25, 2023 at Angelus Chapel.
