Mary Ann Vigil

Mary Ann Vigil was 66 years old when she entered her eternal home on the morning of August 14th, 2021. She was born to Fares and Ennie Vigil on October 22nd, 1954. She was a devoted wife to her spouse Praxie Vigil of 47 years. A beloved mother to her eight children and their spouses, Praxie (Holly) Vigil, Melissa (Ricky) Romero, Orlando (Candice) Vigil, Samuel (Roni) Vigil, Joshua (Sheila) Vigil, Jake, Matthew, and Lucas Vigil. A loving grandmother to Praxie Jr., Xavier, Desirae, Jordan, Sammy Jr., Sydney, Little O, Rebecca, David, Dariann, Tyler, Tanner, Hannah, Hayden, Haylie; and great grandmother to Josiah, Remi, and Ariah.

A loyal sister to her siblings, Andy Vigil, Chris (Jackie) Vigil, Bernadette (Mike) Rodriguez, Arthur (Darlene) Vigil, and sister-in-law to Tashie (Virginia) Vigil, David Vigil, Albert Cordova, Tom (Denise) Vigil, Adolph (Diana) Vigil, Charlie (Sandra) Vigil, Danny (Patti Jo) Vigil, Celia (Art) Vigil, Isabel (Don) Villegas, Katie (Darrell) Contreras, Juanita (Rick) Gonzales, Carmen (Rick) Avalos.

As well as a loving aunt to multiple nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

She was a woman of great character, strength, integrity, and faith. She loved working on the family farm and prepared daily homemade meals for those who entered her home. She was a Godly woman and would pray daily for everyone. Her faith in God was unwavering even as she battled with cancer. She would often say “I walk by faith, not by sight.” She knew that no matter the outcome, she would have the victory.

We want to thank our Vigil family and friends for the love, support and several meals that were provided to our family so we could be with our mom. Thank you for all the prayers that were placed upon us, we felt every one of them. Thank you to Abode Hospice for the Godly servants who cared for and loved on our mamma: Naomi, Richelle, Laura, Mark, and Jeff.
