Michael E. Geanetta, 77, passed away March 19, 2025 in Canon City, CO. He was born October 26, 1947 in Pueblo, CO to parents Sam C. and Helen (Kelly) Geanetta, who both precede him in death along with his sister, Cindy Bates.
Michael graduated from East High School, Class of 1966. He then joined the U.S. Army, where he served 2 years and was stationed in Korea. Upon his return he started working at CF&I and Evaraz where he retired with 49 years of service. Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed watching cowboy movies and his favorite TV shows. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Carla (Bryan) Anderson and Jamie (Dave) McKinsey; 1 granddaughter, Kileen (Tanner) Young; sister, Debbie (David) Flores; brother-in-law, Ray Bates; nephews, Derek (Natalie) Flores and Darren (Varinia) Flores; niece, Ezri Rose Flores; special friend, Loretta Pearson; other family members and friends who love and will miss Michael dearly.
